The Great Steps of Warburton is a large scale mosaic created by the entire Warburton community in a series of workshops April-May 2014. It was installed in July 2014 and looks great!

The Warburton Skate Park is under construction and looking great. It's going to be a great community asset and also one would think - an additional attraction for families and visitors to Warburton.

You can hire toboggans and get hot food at the car park, situated about 200m walk below the summit and toboggan runs. Thanks Cath and Jakie for these pictures.

This massive tree is a favourite for walkers. The Ada is over 300 years old and stands 76m tall. Make a walk to the Ada Tree the 'walk of the day' - so you can enjoy the destination and the journey there and back.

This giant mountain ash gum tree fell across the Yarra river (behind the main street shops) along Thomas Avenue in Warburton on Jan 13, 2013. Narrowly missing several cars, it crashed to the ground. Local authorities had to consider what to do with the tree. Issues of river management, pedestrian access and habitat for local animals are all in the mix. In mif Feb 2013, the tree has been removed and only the stump on the far side shows it was once there.

"It was opposite the Post Office, right where the pedestrian lights are in front of the Water Wheel, on the same side as the Water wheel. If you stand on the Water wheel side of the road at the pedestrian lights you can see where the petrol pumps were as the concrete stumps are still in the ground. Have a look next time you are there and see if you can spot them.
If you wanted to buy petrol you would simply pull up (as if parking in the main street) and the petrol was pumped into your car... -

Picture taken late July 2012. Both the track and viewing platform, including a couple of lovely small stone bridges, have recently completed an upgrade. Go for a walk, about 30 minutes each way.
