The opening on Saturday 4 May was well attended with 60+ people. Great to locals and also long time Melbourne supporters attend the launch. 'The Enchanted Fairy' is a Yarra Valley composer who has performed around Australia and now brings her illustration skills together with her music in is a beautifully illustrated book....

The joint exhibition of mother and daughter artists, Joan Naismith and Kelly Jackson, will focus on elements occurring in the forest environment.
Their works in oil, mixed media and photography, will investigate their contrasting perceptions of nature, using traditional and abstract techniques: each with different styles, from realism to semi- abstract representations, all exploring their unique perceptions of the qualities and cycles occurring in the forest and its surrounds......

The iOS and ANDROIDs project is a celebration of art produced using smartphone and touchpad technology.
The project is being organized and curated by local artist Benno Poeder.
For those who would like to learn more about creating art in a mobile phone, Benno will be conducting free workshops during September and October in Warburton, Healesville and Yarra Junction.
The project will culminate in an exhibition of mobile art at The Upper Yarra Arts Centre in late November.

***Well done all involved - we enjoyed the Saturday night performances - look forward to Theatre Shorts 3. ED****Back after a great production in 2012, this is an entertaining production of TEN bite-sized plays from a diversity of local writers, actors and directors in a cabaret setting.
A special guest judge will present the "2013 Best Script" Award on the Friday night & all audience members will get to vote for the "2013 Best Actor" Award which will be tallied & presented on the Saturday......

Redwoods Garden will be open to the public on April 13 & 14 as part of the Australian Open Garden Scheme. Redwoods is located at 17 Leila Road, Warburton and is open from 10:00AM to 4:30PM on both days, admission is $7 per person, under 18 are free. COMPLETED: April 19 - 21 - Melbourne Oxfam Trailwalker endurance and fundraising event.
This event will involve more than 800 teams of four, each of which has the goal of walking 100 km within a 48-hour period. All four members of each team must complete the whole course. The Melbourne Trailwalker starts off at Jells Park in Glen Waverley and stretches northwards and eastwards along the Dandenong and Yarra Ranges, finishing at Wesburn which is near Warburton. Most of the walking is on bush tracks....
