With suburb views to Mount Donna Buang and the Yarra Ranges and surrounded by our beautiful mature vineyard it is the perfect place to enjoy a delicious meal.  Enjoy outdoor dining on our large deck in the warmer weather, with a chilled glass of Bulong Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Gris.  During the cooler months retreat indoors and keep warm with a delicious warming dish from our seasonal menu and a glass of Bulong Pinot Noir or Cabernets.

Our Chef Antoine is a third generation member of a French family of chefs and has 20 years of experience. He trained and worked in the kitchens of Normandy and Paris and since moving to Australia has worked under a number of chefs, including a top Thai chef, before heading up his own kitchens in the Yarra Valley.  Antoine brings French flair and technical expertise to the restaurant, while staying true to Bulong Estate’s ideals of quality, value and fresh local produce. The menu changes seasonally and can be enjoyed with a Bulong Estate wine served to the table at cellar door prices.

  

Our winemaker, Matt, has extensive experience both in Australia and overseas and his primary aim is to grow the best possible fruit in the first place. Over a number of years he has changed or modified a number of vineyard blocks in the quest for better and better fruit.

In the Winery Matt likes to let the fruit express itself without too much interference. To ensure our high quality and standards are met all winemaking and bottling is conducted on site. He only uses the finest quality French oak and the proportion of new to seasoned varies depending upon the vintage and the variety.

Our white wines are Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris and Chardonnay.  Of course in the reds we have a wonderful Pinot Noir, being the variety that the valley is most famous for.  Also Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and a traditional Bordeaux blend we call ‘Cabernets’.

We hold a number of special events during the year that you might like to join us for, such our Spanish night, Bastille Day celebration or Danish Luncheon.  We also participate in ShedFest each year.  Check our website for details www.bulongestate.com.au

We can host your next celebration such as a birthday, anniversary, Christmas party, fundraiser or wedding.  The restaurant can be opened midweek for your party.  Call us to discuss your requirements and to talk to our Chef about your menu.
