Wild Thyme Café - Phone 03 5966 5050

The inner city café in the bush, Wild Thyme, opened in 1996. Right in the heart of Warburton, with rooms that ramble into a relaxed courtyard overlooking the Yarra River, the casual atmosphere created by Alan Seppings, owner, host and chef, and his friendly staff, make everyone feel welcome.

The open kitchen serves great food - breakfast all day and snacks ranging from Turkish bread foccacias, roti wraps, salads to frittata. Main meals include pastas, risottos, prime aged t-bone, duck, lamb, pork, fish and vegetarian dishes. Yarra Valley regional wines, beer and spirits are available from the bar or BYO. Follow this with good coffee, cakes and desserts – apple and rhubarb pie, lemon tart and more.  All generous servings at modest prices featuring locally sourced, organic produce.

Dining at Wild Thyme is a part of the Yarra Valley experience. In this culture vultures’ sanctuary, you are surrounded by local art works, while relaxing to the sounds of live and acoustic popular and local artists.  An hour from Melbourne, it’s the place to relax, unwind and enjoy all the good things the Yarra Valley has to offer.
