is offering an extended part-time

PERMACULTURE DESIGN COURSE

for the Yarra Valley

Wednesdays 6 pm - 9.30 pm and alternate Sundays 9.30 am - 5 pm, 15th July - 15th November.

This is an opportunity for those with week-day work commitments to get the basic understanding and design skills required to practice  Permaculture and the planning of an orderly descent to a low-energy future.

The course will follow Permaculture Melbourne’s “Syllabus for Permaculture Design in Cool Temperate South Eastern Australia” with over 100 hours of classroom presentations, workshops and practical exercises, site visits and a group design exercise. Extensive reading and some homework will be required to get the most out of the course.

Participants will come away with a good understanding of ecological systems, energy flows, design principles and methodology and their application to the design of landscapes, communities and the built environment.

Tutors  - Graeme George, Stuart Ryder, Kerry Dawborn, Astrid Huwald and guest tutors will bring extensive local experience to this course.

Cost - $485 - includes membership of Yarra Valley Permaculture Group for 1 year.
