June 15 - 17 - 2012 Warburton Film Festival

The Show Us Your Shorts comnpetition forms an important part of the Warburton Film Festival. Our aim is to showcase emerging filmmakers (Australia wide and in the Yarra Ranges) and encourage young people in our region to pick up a camera and tell creative and original moving image stories.

Warburton Film Festival 2012 – June 15th-17th

Mark this weekend on your calendar!  The program is now set. Brochures are currently being printed and will be available shortly.  In the meantime, here’s a rundown on the titles:

Friday, June 15th

8pm:          THIS WAY OF LIFE (NZ - documentary)

Saturday, June 16th

9.45am:     A SEPARATION (Iran – drama)

1.00pm:     THE SECRET IN THEIR EYES (Argentina – thriller)

3.45pm:     FACE TO FACE (Australia – drama)

8pm:         MY WEDDING & OTHER SECRETS (NZ –comedy/romance)

10.00pm:   WINTER’S BONE (U.S. – drama)

 

Sunday, June 17th

9.45am:     TWIN RIVERS (Australia – drama)

12.45pm:   IN A BETTER WORLD (Denmark – drama)

3.15pm:     THE ILLUSIONIST (France – animation/comedy)

We are really excited about this program.  It contains a varied mix of quality films (including 3 Best Foreign Film Oscar winners!) from Australia and around the world.  We are also looking forward to some special guests participating in the screenings of the two Australian films.  

The committee look forward to seeing you at our 2012 festival.
